1976 Oldsmobile Cutlass Additional Info:

1976 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme just under 67,000 miles. Solid original Western body. Sold new near Portland. The car has a history of being kept in a garage when not in use by the original owner who had the car for about 40 years. Rocket 350 engine, factory 4 barrel, automatic. It is Not a field or barn find. This Cutlass was registered and used every year by the original owners, until I bought it. Since then I've used it to go to work on weekends, errands long + short, garage kept, etc.
Car starts easily, drops into a smooth idle, accelerates well, drives straight, shifts thru all gears, turns well, stops evenly and smoothly. It has numerically low "highway" gears in the rear axle, maybe 2.5 or so. Dual exhaust, factory rear sway bar, Oldsmobile stock 15x7 rims, Tires have lots of tread. Power steering, Power brakes, Power door locks, Tilt wheel, A/C car.
Clean interior with the plush velour style seats, no cracks in the dash pad. Gages, wipers + heater work. Power door locks and trunk release work. Passenger side window switch does not work, but the pass window works fine from the drivers' side control, so it may just need a new switch [?]. Drivers window works good. All glass original and clear+ unbroken, electric rear defrost with all lines intact and working, nice curved rear window. It is an A/C car but the belt is off, buyers should assume it needs a charge also.
Previous owner said he put a double roller timing chain on the Rocket 350 and had the Quadrajet style original carburetor rebuilt by an expert a few years ago. - But I do not have a receipt to back that up. Carb does look very clean and functions well.
Body and frames are solid. Tight, dry original floors, trunk floor and dropdowns are solid. Cowl and hood area are nice and rust and rot free. Window channels and window frames really good. Wheel wells are nice, as are the lower doors, and quarter panels. Waterfall grille has nice chrome, car has all its original emblems and moldings. Original owner had a "rockguard" color matched and sprayed onto the car, beneath the lower body line, at the Oldsmobile dealer, when it was new. It is shown close in one of the pictures. Orig owner put in the tape deck and two speakers many years ago, the AM/FM radio still works but the deck will try to eat your casstte. Burn in the carpet from a spotlight.
Has surface rust under the vinyl top that I have tried to show in the pictures.
The car is a 20/20 car. At 20 miles per hour speed and 20 feet away it looks great. Up close and stopped you can see some touch up spots of paint by previous owner, a few small dings, passenger door paint ouch, etc. It runs and drives well, looks good + gets compliments, and is usable right now. Has been reliable. Not too many of these 76-77 style Cutlass around anymore, though they were a best seller in those years. I've tried to be descriptive about the car so we don't waste each others time.
Car is 42 years ol, and there are No warranties implied or expressed. Sold As-is where is. You are welcome to view and drive the car before buying. There will be a $500 NON-refundable deposit thru Paypal required upon immediately purchasing the car. Listing isn't free for the seller, so please have your money, needed permissions, and transportation methods figured out first... Thanks !
