This is the most highly prized vintagecar models out there. The car is documented by GM as one of only 5 ever made, because of the options. They said it could be a one of one but they were more comfortable saying one of 5. It is the only known model that still exists.Please note that this is a club coupe. not a two door hardtop. There isa post behind both doors, unlike a hardtop.This beautiful car only has10,728miles showing! It has been completely restored and is aprestine example of the model. It won 1st place in numerous shows across the country and is a beauty in person. The known details of the restoration and modifications are listed below.The exterior of thisclassic is actually much better than new. It isa brilliantbrightwhiteand the paint and body areas close toperfect as you will find. I hesitate to sayflawless only because someone will find some tiny nick that I missed so we'll just say nearly flawless. There is absolutely no damage anywhere on the entire car. The paint is great with a high gloss and no problems at all. NO dents, nicks, paint issues, dull spots, runs, overspray or other issues. This was a high-end professional restoration done with NO expense spared, There is no evidence of ever having previous damage. It is the442 model and the car has all the correct emblems attached. It is also the added club coupe,as seen in the photos. All of the emblems are in perfect shape. The chrome has all been professionally replated or replaced with top quality NOS style items. The car also has new rubber seals throughout. The door, hood and trunk jambs are inperfect shape andI have extra photos of them, if you need them. Theyopen and close so easily it's spooky!This caris an original442 and not some made-from-extra-parts car. It has a numbers matching400 with the rare automatic trans with column shifter. The floors are great and the trunk bottom is perfect. I also have photos of those. I can only put 24 pics on eBay so if you want more, I will have to send them to you. The car has new perfect conditionOlds 551wheels with newP225/75R14 blackletter tires, both of which give it a great look.THESE WHEE;S WERE $80.00each.I have found absolutely no issues with the car at all. I drove it extensively to see how it was before listing it. It was great! Started easily, ran strong and handled wonderfully.I want to emphasis that this car is NOT some hack job like you sometimes find on here. This is about as nice a restoration that you will find unless you spend $100,00.00 on the car and having it done. The raingutters are totally clean and well done, Body seams are perfect, body gaps are likely better than they were from the factory, paint is better than factory as is the interior. Again, I have many photos that I can send and will take others if you need them. I have included a close-up of the firewall tag so those of you who are interested can research the car on your own. I do know that the firewall tag iseasy to read and you should have no trouble with it. There is absolutely no body filler on the car and it has never had a spot of rust!On to the interior. This one hasthe totally coolFACTORY red and darker redvinyl interiorthat is absolutely perfect!I have photographedmore than 100classicGM cars and trucksover the last few years and this is the only one that has had this vintage, originalinterior. Mostpeople just go with the plain black vinyl but these folks did it right! It is the exact interior the car was made with and not redone!.The outer edges of the seats aredark redand the inner sections are the darker red stripes. The door panels match the seats and are perfect, however they have been redone.The dash isgreat with no wear, cracks or fade. It hasperfect shape and has not bent like so many ofthem do in the center.This car has theextremely rare and original column automaticshifter, as seen in the photos. Thedark red carpet is original style and is in great shape. Some of thephotos may show the carpet to appear faded but that is not the case. It is just the camera flash glaring. The carpet is in new condition and perfectly colored. The car also has correctvintage typefloor mats.Correct manual windows and locks and manual remote adjust on the driver's outside mirror. It also has a power antenna.They all work, as well. The car hasa factoryAMunitin the dash. It is a high-end car that really stands out.The interior is in GREAT condition. The headliner is also in new condition and the car has the correct lap seatbelts.The interior on thiscar is one of the things that makes it special. It is a beautiful design with comfortable seats and a great appearance.I know I am going to get a hundred questions on whether the numbers match on this car. The answer is absolutely yes!.It has been documented through Oldsmobile to be numbers matching with the original engine.And now for the mechanics. Ths car has enough powerscare your friends! It is the original 400small block and it is connected to a 400 turbo 3 speed automatic transmission. Both have been rebuilt and both operate well. The engine and engine compartment are restored to the same quality as the rest of the car. The entire engine is balanced and blueprinted and those papers come with the car. It has a Lumanti carb. There is an electronic cooling system for extra protection, as seen in the photos. It has headers that lead to a full lenght stainless steel dual exhaust with chrome tips.There isa great sounding rumble to it. It is not too loud but gets the proper attention. Again, I have numerous other photos. The car has factory power steering, power brakes and an aluminum mid-rise intake. The engine runs cool, has great oil pressure and no internal noise. The trans shifts well and grabs as it should. The car also has an aftermarket tach and a set of extra gauges under the dash, just t be sure! All could easily be removed.. The rearend is a 10 bolt but to be honest, I do not know if it is a posi or limited slip. I forgot to check when I was with the car. Again, this car only has10,728 miles showing. These are the originals miles!The engine runs like it is brand new and of course. there are no leaks or problemfos of any kind. The car is beautiful and ready for you to enjoy as a showpiece or investment! For those who love t o research, the block number is 390925E and the head number is V12104.
