1959 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight 98 Additional Info:

This auction is for my 1959 Olds 98 4 door hard top. I have owned this car for a couple of years now and realized that Iam not going to be able to get to it in the near future. The car is showing it's age but is basically an all original car. I have the original owners manua, last registration from 1986 and the original hand written order when the people purchased it new. It has 61,000 actual miles on the car and still wears some of it's original paint. The car is quite solid but does have a rust hole in the passenger side front floor pan, 2 small spots on the inner rear quarters in front of the back tires (minor) and a patch or 2 on the drivers front fender. Trunk is soli, all other floor pans and braces are soli, rockers are solid, doors etc.Excellentframe A good foundation to start with. The car has it's original 394 V_8 4bbl carb and auto trans. The motor runs great just a tiny exhaust leak on front exhaust pipe where it has a tin patch. Trans shifts beautifully has power steering and power brakes but power brake booster has been unbolted and ready to remove to send out and rebuild.I pulled the wheels and brake shoes and hardware are in good shape. Most of theelectrical swork. Lights work. Power seat works in a couple of positions. Has automatic light dimmer. There is a dent up high on the passenger front door which is keeping the window from going down. You also have to open that door from the inside as the outside handle is bent down. Headliner and carpets are bad. I have all the original 14 inch wheels, hubcaps and trim rings that will be included. I put new 15inch wide whites and wire caps on in place of them. Back bumper getting a little thin. A great car to restore if you choose to go that route, rat rod orexcellentdonor car. These 98's have a real cool look and is one of my favorite body style. We require a $500 dollar deposit at close of auction and balance to be paid within 3 days of auctions end. Selling on dealer bill of sale and proper transfer paper work .LOW RESERVE .If you need time for shipping or pick up we can store the car within reason as long as it is paid for If you need more info or pics feel free to call or email us at 207-324-5568 days or 207-432-2862 eves and sundays
