For Sale: 1991 Highly Modified 300zx twin turbo

Selling an amazing modified 300zx twin turbo. This car has been modified across every aspect of the vehicle, only the body is left untouched. This creates a very stealthy OEM look with incredible performance, handling, braking and sound.

The car has a clean Carfax and 84k original miles, T-Tops, auto climate control and a power drivers seat.

The engine has been modified with upgraded HKS 2530 turbos, Nismo 555 injectors, Head porting, a lifter Cam, Greddy side mount intercoolers, a JWT custom tuned ECU, JWT dual free flow intake system, Mishimoto radiator to keep things cool, Inconel SZ exhaust manifolds, a custom stainless-steel exhaust with 3 inch downpipes, a Labree stainless steel catback exhaust with an X pipe and high flow catalytic converters. The exhaust has a nice tone, no drone and not very loud.

All these modifications put down 430 HP on a mild set up for safety and engine longevity just run on a mustang dyno (other dynos will show a 5%-10% higher HP ratings). See photos for the recent dyno run.

Keeping track of all these mods are a Blitz boost controller and turbo timer and an Apexi super AFC located in the glovebox. I also installed a new battery and had an oil change done recently. All of this work was done by Exact motorsports in Milpitas CA, an extremely reputable Z custom build shop. I have the receipt for the engine build alone totaling over $15k.

The suspension on the car sits perfect, modified with SPL coilovers, tension rods, adjustable upper camber arms, solid subframe bushings, polyurethane steering rack bushings and Carbing front and rear strut bars to hold everything tight. The wheels are Wedsport lightweight 18x9 and 18x10 with brand new Sumitomo HTR Z3 tires installed with a 4 wheel alignment.

Slowing everything down in the front is a 14inch Akebono front big brake kit with Stoptech slotted rotors, Carbotech street pads, stainless steel brake lines and Powertrix fog light cooling ducts. The rear is stock except for pads and slotted Brembo rotors.

The driveline has been modified with a short shifter and a Fidenza lightweight flywheel. The clutch was replaced by the prior owner with a stock unit 2 years ago.

Finally, the car has an upgraded stereo with a Kenwood Bluetooth head unit, Alpine 5 channel amp, all new speakers and a trunk mounted subwoofer, iPhone adapter and hands free calling.

Rounding out the mods are some nice modest cosmetic touches including a polished upper intake, powered coated valve covers, polished intake pipes, HID Xenon headlights, J Spec corner lenses, tail lights and center panel, and rear tinted windows.

The condition of the car is immaculate except for a few points which I’ll note below. The paint is original, and the Z has never been in an accident. The interior looks like a time capsule and is in fantastic shape. The black leather seats are in good condition, but the driver’s seat is starting to show some wear on one bolster. I condition the leather seats monthly. The T-Tops work great with no leaks and I have the storage bag for them as well. The exterior has no dings or dents, however there are a number of small rock chips on the hood. Finally, 2 of the wheels have some very minor curbing.

The car comes with custom test pipes to replace the high flow Cats should you wish to install them and they are legal in your state. I will also sell the car with a custom fit car cover. I have TONS of paperwork including the original window sticker on the car.

Now: Car runs awesome and is fantastic to drive. However, I got flagged by CA smog control during a regular registration process, and they are asking me to produce CARB certs for most of the engine mods or return the car to stock. The car is so perfect as it is, I'm not touching it. So, best if you buy it outside of CA. I don't want to sell, but I'm not tearing this car apart. Best for it to be enjoyed in a more lenient state.
