Very low mileage car in excellent condition

I wanted to create my own greatly improved version of an MGB, he most versatile and best selling British sports car of all time. And to that end, his is what I did:

Started with a near perfect original car…..51,000 miles, ero rust underneath, xcellent body with excellent ORIGINAL paint. A wonderful driving car…140-145 psi compression in every cylinder, 0 psi oil pressure when warm, ero smoke cold or hot. Everything working well.

And this is what I did: although the later cars have a lot going for them, igger gauges, ront and rear sway bars, ower assist for the disc brakes, lectronic ignition, hermostatically controlled radiator fans, moother engines and gearboxes, horough factory rust preservatives, n and on……big problem: gutless, gly, nd ill handling. Hence, y plan was to rectify these issues, ne by one.

First, ad a first class chrome bumper conversion done….some new sheet metal, ights, utting, elding, abrication, ew chrome bumpers and guards, new Mk I chrome grille……and I even had the quarter lights removed and paint blended in at all four corners. The result: aesthetics virtually identical to the earliest and best looking MGBs, 962-1968.

Next, owered the car to the pre-1974 ½ ride height. New front springs, ll new suspension bushings, ear lowering kit. NOW the car looks EXACTLY like an early MGB.

Went further…got a set of low back seats from a 1967 B…added a custom wood dashboard, odern Sony stereo/CD with USB input, ew top, arly tonneau, eather steering wheel, n my eye, ooks as good in the interior as does the exterior.

Got rid of the ugly fake alloy wheels, ad all new splined hub adapters installed with new bearings and seals, good set of sandblasted, rimered, nd painted wire wheels with correct sized 165R14 radials.

Finally, eplaced the single Stromberg carb with a brand new Weber 32/36 DGV carb, anifold, nd air cleaner making a huge difference in performance.

The car has a carpeted trunk, riginal jack and jack bag, ew knock off hammer, iring and electrics are all in excellent condition.

The result is a car that, n a real way, s 35% modern Honda/Toyota/Audi and 65% classic MG. Starts instantly, uns flawlessly, as entirely contemporary use and performance, nd should be MILES ahead of any other classic car in reliability.

Look at ANY other MGB for sale and you will not find any that comes to close to this car as a blend of the old and the new. AND if a new owner wishes the side stripes removed, r wants an excellent set of high back/head rest seats (with matching tonneau), ll can be done at no extra cost.
