1974 MGB V8 ROADSTER

Owner built and owned since conversion completed in 2004 chrome bumper MGB 3.9 Liter fuel injected rover powered V8. This car was a 10 year in the making project starting with a super clean rust free body shell that was completely stripped down of every component and then all body modifications to install a rover v8 undertaken. Next complete media blasting of body shell and re spray with Dupont base coat clear coat and extensive rust proofing performed inside and under all panels.

The engine has been completely rebuilt with all new parts and including cam change, ported heads lightened flywheel and the fuel injection system plenum, intake manifold, and trumpets milled down so that engine would fit with out any modifications to the hood.

Brakes have been upgraded to front vented rotors and sliding calipers off an Audi 90 and rear vented rotors and sliding calipers incorporating the parking brake off a Ford Thunder bird turbo coupe . Girling remote brake booster added with an adjustable proportioning valve.

Front suspension uprated with GT front springs solid LCAB RON HOPKINTON front conversion kit using bilstien shocks and an up rated front sway bar kit.

Rear suspension upgrade includes 8.8 narrowed rear end from a Ford Thunderbird turbo coupe with 3.55 posi diff and trac rods with poly urethane bushings composite leaf springs with nylatron mounting pads and bushings and a RON HOPKINTON rear sway bar kit.

Transmission Rover 5 speed with hydraulic clutch system and range rover modified drive shaft.

Fuel system Rover RV8 fuel tank feeds external fuel pump 3/8 feed line 5/16 return line incorporating

before and after fuel filtering and new uprated marron fuel injectors. ECM was rechipped .

Tires 195-65-15 Michelin MXV mounted to Honda special order aluminum alloy rims .

Interior gray leather and gray wilton wool carpets finished trunk in gray wilton wool power windows and power door locks german mohair canvas RV8 top with matching tonneau cover and boot

Car runs extremely well and is quite quick .
