1960 MG MGA 1960 MGA 1600 ROADSTER. 1800cc ENGINE. NICE RESTORATION. Additional Info:

Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this very pretty and great driving MGA 1600 Roadster. This car was just purchased locally from it's long term California owner who has owned the car since his college days, about 30 years. He purchased the car from the dry state of New Mexico back then, so rust or corrosion on this car has never been an issue. It's super solid with a great undercarriage. It has been largely restored under his care and ownership including paint, interior, chrome rubber, and the desirable upgrade of transplanting a rebuilt 1800cc MGB 5-main bearing engine, providing 95 horsepower. The body and paintwork on this car is excellent overall. There are a couple dings and a small dent from garage storage, but besides that paint and body is quite excellent and of very good quality. Chrome work is mostly all new. A new rubber kit was fitted along with a new windshield glass. The car's interior was completely renewed at the time of restoration which includes newly upholstered seats with new Moss kits, new matching beige panel kit with leather cockpit surrounds, new correct black carpets, new beige sidecurtain stowage bag, cloth beige tonneau cover. The dashboard instruments are all working correctly.Mechanically, the car is completely sorted and ready to go. It's a wonderful tight driver with excellent roadholding. The car's rebuilt 1800cc engine starts quickly on the key with great stable oil pressure, no smoke or noises, and revs well. A modern aluminum radiator is a great addition. The clutch, gearbox feel very good with only a small weakness in the 3rd gear syncro. Brake pedal pressure is slightly softer than normal with the useful addition of a power brake servo unit installed. The tire set appears new fitted and balanced onto it's powder-coated disc wheels with new hubcaps. PLEASE VIEW DRIVING VIDEO to see this fun car in action around town. It really is a superb driving car that stops, steers, handles, rides, and accelerates all very well.Overall, a desirable MGA 1600 Roadster in great colors fitted with a strong and desirable 1800 unit, fully sorted by it's previous caring owner, and ready to go for summer. This sweetheart of a car drives very well, and is a sensible and fun buy going forward.
