1974 MG MGB Additional Info:

1974 Chrome bumper MGB Roadster. This car is a zero rust all original panel car. I've owned this car for 17 years and the previous owner for nearly as long. I believe I am the third owner. This car has always been stored inside and driven in fair weather.
The car was repainted at some point before I bought it. It is a cinnamon color. The original color is MG burgundy red and can be seen in the engine compartment and trunk. The car needs to be painted and the nicks and minor imperfections repaired but present itself extremely well as it is.
Shortly after I purchased the car I installed a factory Overdrive Transmission. The interior is new with the exception of the seats. It has a new canvas top installed on the quick fold down frame. I have the standard frame also. Included is a Tonneau cover and fold down top Boot cover and a cotton car cover that is in fair condition.
The car runs great with approximately 75,000 miles on the car since new. When I installed the overdrive I had to change the speedometer to one that calibrated to the proper speed. I recorded the speedometer swap in the owners manual but that has been misplaced. My recollection was that the old speedometer had 62k miles and the new one 16k miles indicated. The current indicated miles are 28,192. So, 62k+12,192k=74,192k. The car was titled in my name at 52,000 miles.
Sway bar position clamps were loose. Tighten and checked good. Tires are approximately 75%, brakes are good. This is a daily driver or a perfect restoration example.
I have a lot of the original paperwork and maintenance paperwork that I got from the person I bought the car from. Also have some parts that come with the car including Tru-Spoke bolt on wire wheels shown in the pictures. The wheels would need to be rebuilt but are serviceable cores. The photo of the wire wheels was taken about 13 years ago.
I would drive this car anywhere. It's road worthy and ready to go.
