Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this very nice MGB. This car was recently purchased from the Midwest and was subject to a very nice restoration approximately 10 years ago from it's caring owner. This car is finished in it's original colors of Primrose Yellow with black trim, and is fitted with the rare overdrive gearbox and desirable chrome wire wheels. The body on this car appears excellent and straight with very nice fitting panels, and very good paintwork. There are a few small, typical, touched-up areas from normal use over the years. The paintwork presents glossy and smooth in the correct original color. Brightwork is excellent and is a mixture of new reproduction or superb original items. The car's interior trim was also renewed with leather trimmed seats, still showing perfect. The car also received a matching panel kit and a well-fitted black loop carpet kit. The dashboard is excellent original. A new windshield was also fitted. Th car includes the original tonneau cover, top boot, and bag. The softop currently fitted is in good shape with no tears. The car's mechanicals are in very good fettle. The engine starts quickly and easily with a little choke, exhibits good oil pressure and runs cool, idles evenly, revs wells with no smoke, and has plenty of power. The clutch and brakes feel fine, along with nice suspension and positive steering. The gearbox feels very good and quiet, although syncros 2/3 feel a little weak if hurried through the gearchange. The overdrive unit is currently non-op, as its most likely an electrical fault.Overall, an excellent, believed low-mileage car with lots of desirable factory options. This clean and very pretty example, in a pleasing and refreshing color scheme, is very good value when considering current restoration costs to restore one to this level.
