1966 MG MGB Conv Additional Info:

This is my friends1966MGB.She has the rare and highly sought after factoryoverdrive with wire wheels, solid chrome bumpers, steel dash with toggle switches, desirable stow away soft top and a hard top.The car is selling this week to the highest bidder and is priced well below current market value. If you know vintage British cars you know how rare this car is and the factory overdrive makes it all that much more rare. This a running driving car and is priced to sell. Heritage:The carappears to be anumbers matching carandyou canorderaBritish Heritage Certificate from England or I can do it for you.The cars commission number isGHN3L60294 and the engine number is18GB-RU-H-14619.The "R" in the engine number is verification that its a true overdrive engine.
Mechanically:The car runsgreat andwas just serviced. The car starts right up with no issues, ticks, smoke or shacking about. Holds good oil pressure at about60+ lbs with no visible signs of any fluid lead leaks or drips at this time. The carrecently had a complete tune up with new ignition wires, spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor button, new air filters, oil change, oil filter, new clutch master cylinder, new fuel pump minstalled, new exhaust system and the transmission and rear end fluids where serviced. Note: The tires arelikeNEW radials. Overdrive Transmission:Yes this car has therare and highly sought afteroverdrive transmission. Overdrive works perfectly in both 3rd and 4th gears. Again, the overdrive is working. Electrical's:Goodcondition with the following items in working order.Headlights wor, wipers work, front & rearturn signals work, front & rear running lights work, brake lights work and the license plate lights work. Note: The fan motor works from time to time. Not sure why ( might be the switch ).
Gauges:All gauges are correct and original "Smith" brand.
Interior:The interior is in average shape I'd say but you need to be the judge of that.Car sports the sought after steel dash with toggle switches.Note: Seats are not bolted in place at this time but I drive the car with no issues due to this. Exterior:The car is remarkably straight but does need some restoration but looks fine for a driver. The paint is what I'd call driver quality but that's just my opinion. Car just had a complete new front bumper kit installed along with new rear taillight kits with lens, gaskets, chrome tail light surround bezels, new chrome wiper arms and new chrome wiper blades. Car also comes with aNEW complete 6 piece chrome side molding kit ( I've installed the front fender pieces but the new owner will need to install the other 4 pieces ).Again, like new radial tires. Underbody:I really can't get under the car but from what I see she looks to be about average for a 50 year old car but opinions vary. It appears that the floor pans where replaced but done from the inside. Soft Top:Car comes with a folding soft top frame with a good black soft top attached to it. Car also has a folding top frame and comes with a brand NEW in the boxRED soft top ( Special Ordered From England ). Hard Top:Yes as seen in the photos the car comes with a hard top. Top needs the lower seals replaced and believeI do have them in a box along with some new and used parts that come with the car. Trunk:The trunk is solid and has a spare tire and wire wheel. Also, the car does come with the original "stow away' top cover frame and the "top cover " / "Tonneau cover support rails.
Shipping:If you need to have the car shipped to your location here in the states you can get a fast and free online quote from Able Auto Transport at: http://www.ableautotransport.com/ Overseas Bidders:Yes the auction is open to overseas bidders. The auction is open to overseas bidders and if you need to ship overseas try Schumacher Cargo Logisticsshipping for fast free quotes ( http://www.schumachercargo.com/ ).

I know how hard it is to purchase a car online so please ask any and all questions you have prior to bidding or if you can come see and drive the car for yourself ( I really encourage you to do so ) as I want the winning bidder to be satisfied with the car when it arrives. No warranties / guarantees are expressed/ implied and is a project car. Due to the cars age she is being sold as mileage exempt and "as is".
