RELISTED AND REDUCED FOR QUICK SALE!

LITTLE BRITISH CAR FANS! ThisMGis in running, driving and stopping condition.Turn the key and it comes to life with little effort. Retired to a barn in 1989, I rescued it three years ago. I’ve cleaned the original carburetors, replaced the gas tank, had the rear axleprofessionally rebuilt, overhauled the brake system, and many small things including new battery/alternator/tune up items. The original emissions system was removed but retained for the new owner. 5 new Vredestein Quad Trac tires. If interested, I’ll gladly email a journal of the work performed since I’ve owned it. The car came from the factory in Aconite purple with Autumn Leaf gut. It is now painted flat purple, with matte black accents on the lower front, rockers and rear valance. This is far from a show car, it was built as a safe and fun driver.
It has the1275cc motorand a4 speed manual transmission. First gear is weak so a second low mileage ribcase gearbox comes with the sale (approx. $250 value). The odometer shows 55k miles, but the gauge stopped working about a year ago. It drives well and tracks straight down the road. There is no rust through any of the critical structural areas, and metal patch panels come with the car to repair the A pillars along with a perfect hood to replace the one currently mounted – rusted at the front edge. There is a 1-2” spot near the cockpit surround that rusted at a roof snap which trapped water for 25 years. Should be an easy fix.

The interior is in transition back to original. Presentable for a driver. The floors of the cockpit were ground, primed, and painted with POR 15. I then added new metal under the seats. The original seats were taken apart, the frames were wire brushed, and the vinyl was deep cleaned before dyeing back to freshen the Autumn Leaf. New stainless steel runners below to prevent any further corrosion and smooth operation.
I did go through all of the dash gauges and electrical systems. Horns, lights, courtesy and trunk light work. Back up lights and hazards work. The turnsignals do not. I have an NOS fuel gauge for the car to replace the one there now which works but is unpredictable.
