You are bidding on a 1973 Mercury Capri w/ 2600 V6

Because of medical bills I have to let go of my little girl.

I’ve had her for 8 years and she runs like a champ. Standard (stick shift) 4 speed. The sunroof is a definite plus which works perfectly, nd I have installed rear window louvers. 131,000 miles. She’s 40+ years old, o she does have minor issues. The last owner painted her Mini Cooper Green, hich looks sweet on her, ut the clear coat does show some flaking. I replaced the chrome trim around the front and back windows and have installed a new clutch cable. The vinyl on the front seats is cracked but I covered them with Black Australian sheep skin, hich I would have even if the seats were perfect. So comfy. (The head rests are uncovered.) The back seats are in near perfect condition with a small tear on the top on the passenger’s side. The dash has the infamous crack BUT I have an uninstalled dash skin from Team Blitz. I replaced the much worn dash front with a dash front from a Capri II. I installed a Sony CD player, ut I have the original AM radio.

The worst of it: Someone must have backed into her when I had her parked at the curb to clean her so there’s a hand sized dent on the passenger’s rear quarter panel. (I live near a school where people turn around a lot.) She wasn’t insured at that time and I can’t afford to have it fixed at the moment. If the dent wasn’t there the reserve price would be $1000 higher. One wheel well is just beginning to show a little rust and there’s a spot on the trunk lid. The locks are stiff and need lubrication. An aftermarket hood release has been installed. And lastly, he gas and temperature gauges aren’t working but that hasn’t been a problem for me. I always keep her tank filled (she gets 30 mpg on the highway) and have taken her on a 1000 mile trip with no overheating. I do have a new solid state dash voltage regulator but not sure how to install it.

Extras: I have an extra instrument cluster that I got with the Capri II dash front, nd another interior fan motor (the old one wasn’t working but then started working), nd I picked up some used hard-to-find decorative side fins “just in case”. I have a floor wiper switch from a 90’s Capri that I was going to install using a universal fluid pump. The old switch still will run the wiper but will not squirt fluid. I installed a new carburetor on her and still have the old carburetor.

I’m betting I don’t have to tell you just how rare a find a Capri in good condition is. This is your chance to own this classic super-coupe. I’m sure you’ll enjoy her like I did.
