1966 Mercury Comet GT Additional Info:

Very clean 66 cyclone convertible. Power windows and brakes. Almost every option. Runs great. I have owned the car myself for 20 years. It is all original. Trans has 800 miles on it. Engine overhaul has 2k on that. Glass window convertible top. Tires have 1k on them. The brakes may need a little work. They are not working as well as they should. The passenger window is intermittent. The brakes need some adjustments and the window. Everything else is good. Power steering and ram fixed 800 miles ago. You can drive this car absolutely anywhere you want. California car all is life. No rust of any type on this car. The wheels are obviously not original. This car sounds great when its running. I believe they are flowmasters underneath. If you want to turn heads this is the car!

Has the rare shroud on the radiator. I just drove the car to Carson City Nevada in November from here in San Diego. You can drive the car anywhere in the country. The brakes just feel like they are not power anymore, hey are very functional. It rarely goes on a trip. but gets started every week and goes for a ten mile run monthly. This car has never been in rain or snow ever. I am only getting rid of it cause its 150.00 a month for storage. I have other muscle cars and an old truck. Please know that this is a great car but, t is not a show car, ut almost. I have forgot to mention the Top is in good shape. It goes up and down by itself still. The gauges were restored. The gauges all work and so does the green light in the speedo and etc. I can honestly say the dash is like it was in 1966 and its original. The car does not have the stock wood steering wheel. I have it and it is damage free. Get ready for heads to turn when you drive it.

Please do not write to me asking about rust. I have stated there is not any rust and its true. NONE! If you are worried about rust just come see it. If you are out of state and want to hire a San Diego mechanic to properly look at it for rust or whatever, hat would be fine.

PS I just had the whole brake system redone last week. I had a reputable rebuild shop rebuild the power booster (300) and the master cylinder (120) I had all the wheel cylinders replaced with high volume station wagon ones and had the drums turned and all new hoses to the vacumn lines and brakes
