1963 Mercury Monterey Colony Park Additional Info:

This 63 Colony Park wagon is a very rare configuration and build. It is reported to be one of the 12 wagons donated to the NHRA as a promotion from Mercury for the 1963 Winter Nationals at Pomona Drag Strip. I haven’t been able to locate any others so far. (If you can confirm of any others please let me know). I suspect she may be the only one left of the original 12. After all what was done with a 4spd 390 car in the 60’s surely not saved at the time. So, if you dare to be different and want a true head turner this might be the car for you

The wagon has undergone a total frame on restoration. Rust free California car all its life. All was inspected and adjustments and repairs made. All of the outside moldings, stainless steel, window trim, bumpers and aluminum trim has been refurbished, re-chromed, or replaced with NOS parts when available. The original color (dessert frost) was recreated and done in base clear, by my restoration shop in Rochester, MA.

The interior has also been refurbished, carpet, New SMS Auto Fabrics door panels, original AM/FM radio was updated to modern and a dual front speaker added, Plus a second original style in the rear compartment. All the power accessories work as they should. The Colony Park has an off-white vinyl headliner with perforated holes like the original “factory” install. It is meticulous! A new dash pad was installed as well. The third row and second row is factory original seats. The front seat interior has been redone with original materials from SMS Auto Fabrics and it’s spectacular!

Mechanically, all systems rebuilt, including the transmission, rear end, mounts, front end components, front springs, Radiator was cleaned and flowed and all new hoses, as well as, new heater core rebuilt box. Completely functional AC option. Factory wheels with vintage correct BF Goodrich tires. The engine has been complete rebuild and modified for unleaded fuel. Rebuilt with all new components and a new clutch and pressure plate; a correct rebuilt T 10 shifter assembly.

The data plate shows no DSO, has the correct transmission code (5) and the correct engine code (Z). This car is an opportunity for any collector to add a one of wagon. The paint is spectacular as well and the pictures do it no justice. I also have lots of pictures and documentations of the restoration.

My advertised price is well below my investment. Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions. Yes the car is out of the book pricing finding another probably wouldn’t happen. I respond to all e-bay emails as fast as I can. Please no day dreamers, you won’t be sorry. Just as a reference although they didn’t purchase the car it was at a show and I had a museum interested to purchase based on what they saw. Good luck bidding

Please note: Will consider Dr. Quality early 60's Ford or Mercury Convertibles S-55 in trade
