1977 MERCURY MARQUIS BROUGHAM 4 DOOR SEDAN
ORIGINAL SURVIVOR CAR
90,300 MILES
460 V8
This is an all original car what has been well maintained and never seen a winter. This car is a nice driving solid car that is sure to turn heads as you float down the road. This car has its fair share of cosmetic issues from years of being on the road. I took as many photos of the car to give you a good idea of its cosmetic and mechanicalcondition.A great car for its age but do not expect a perfect museum car.
I have included a link to a youtube video of the car and alot of pictures of the car and cosmetic flaws on the bottom of this ad.
Check out the video! https://youtu.be/nK25AgAk5t8
Features:
*Power Windows * Power Locks * Power Antenna *Power Drivers Seat * Am / Fm Radio * Flip Up Headlight Covers *Trailer Hitch And Brake Unit Under Dash *
Some features of this car need work. The air conditioningneeds to be recharged or converted to the new Freon. The dash clock and cigarette lighters do not work. The light under the hood is not working. The windows and power locks work but they are slow. I have not tested the trailer wiringor brake unit and I have never towed with this car but you can.
Cosmetic Body:
This car has its fair share of cosmetic issues from years on the road. There has been alot of touch up paint repairs that are impossible to show all of them in photos. Some touch ups are larger than others and it looks like the front fender and door have paint runs from a repair. The largest touch up spot is on the bottom of the passenger rear door. There is a few rust touch up spot on the top of the front fenders. The bottom of the doors have some light rust and paint loss starting. there is some light rust spotting on the inside of the trunk lid. Some of the paint has scratchesand cracking. the chrome is oxidized and has pitting in places. The stainless has some scuffs scratches and other wear. The sides of the trunk inside are cracking and looks rough and the carpet is stained and worn. The grill has several light crack in the chrome finish. On the drivers door a small piece of the black outside trim is missing. The bumpers have scuffs and light dents along with wear from the elements. The front of the car has heavy stone chip wear in the paint and chrome finish. There is small rust wear on the fender skirts and a few areas of the car with surface rust. The under side of the hood is dirty and stained. The tires are older and have flat spot from sitting.
Cosmetic Interior:
The cars interior is beautiful and feels like you are riding on a plush sofa. The car has alot of the original factory markings and stickers in the car, under the hood and in the trunk. There are a few blemishes and scuffs from years of trips in the car. The cars door panels have cracks in the plastic and peeling silver trim. the dash clock and cigarette lighters do not work. There are 3 holes in the headliner. The rubber seals on the car shows its age and have some cracking and wear. The carpet is worn and has some set in stains. The radio and speakers work but there is a rattle when they are on * i think its the under dash speaker. The doors have a rattle when you are driving.
Mechanical:This car is a pleasure to drive but it has the standard old car quarks. It is cold blooded and hard to start if you dont drive it regularly. Under the hood is dirty and greasy like most original survivor cars. The car runs fine but it seems to idle weak when the car is cold. it needs a good mechanic to run through the car. I had my mechanic replace the muffler, plugs, wires, cap and rotor this weeks after the photos under the car were taken. The car stops fine but may need a brake job in its future. While driving the car has some rattlesand the wheel shakes at higher speeds because the tires are old and have flat spots. The tires should be replaced. Most of the car is original which means old parts some have been updated over the last 40 years others have not.
