Over its 22 years of production, the Mercury Monterey served as the flagship, mid-range, and entry-level offering of the full-size Mercury product range. This is the only Mercury name to be in continuous production throughout the 1960s. In 1961 the Monterey styling was revamped, with headlights that are more separated and a stylish concave grille that resembled 1960 cars as well as the very popular Thunderbird-style roofline.

This 1962 Mercury Monterey sport coupe is largely unrestored and finished in a factory color of Teaberry. It was repainted several years ago and still presents beautifully.

It’s powered by its original high power 352ci V8 engine backed by a Merc-O-Matic automatic transmission.

It is equipped with power steering and power brakes. The chrome and trim are in good condition. The interior is a highlight of the exceptional condition of this car and is a good indicator of how nice this mercury is.

There are no rips or tears on the stylish seats that have the original cloth and leather with silver piping in great condition. The headliner has been replaced and is in perfect condition. The engine bay has been fully detailed by our processional staff and is incredibly clean.

This is a very solid car that has been garage-stored and pampered its entire life. It has 92,973 original miles and

had one repaint years ago in its correct factory Mercury Teaberry, a color that was only available in 1961-63.

This head turning car is not something you will see every day. Only 5328 were built and this one represents the highest powered variant.
