1976 Mercury Capri Black Cat Additional Info:

Hello from Seattle, Wa!

This is a rare opportunity to own a DIY '70s style mad max "muscle" car on the cheap. Merc Capris are getting very difficult to find in a workable condition and when done up right are severely badass! (I was going to drop a modern drive train and HO fuel injected V8 into it but alas...no time or money...)

This 76 capri was my daily driver until the spring of 2004 when I had finally purchased a house and met my girlfriend who had a 4 year old child. At this point I had to upgrade to a family size car. I rebuilt the motor myself with a ton of TLC in the Summer of 1997 and only has about 14,000 miles on it. It is manual transmission and has an Offenhauser 4 Barrel carb intake manifold with n Edelbrock 700 cfm carb attached (I know its overkill on the HP but it sure takes off in 3rd at highway speed...!!!) I start it once or twice a year and had just moved it to where the pics were taken in February this year. What it needs: The interior, seats carpet headliner need to be completely redone due to exposure. All window seals need to be replaced (the cause of the interior exposure) 1 cancer spot behind the drivers side rear tire that is known and various rust spots here and there that are just surface (I tend to hit them with sander and primer every summer when found). In essence, ideally, the whole car needs a loving warm garage where it can be thoroughly gone over with care and redone (except of course the motor which is fine). Let me know if you have any questions or if you want any additional pictures. There are no seats currently in the vehicle as they were shot and I started cleaning it to mitigate the mold from going crazy so it will have to be trailered / transported out.

This is a list of new parts that I have that I never had time to install:

New heater blower motor, euro bumpers, new heater core, new window rubber ( I cant remember but I think rear hatchback glass seal), billet aluminum steering coupler.

The Edelbrock carb by itself will fit on any 4 barrel setup and is worth over $300 and is practically brand new....

Thanks

PICKUP MUST BE ARRANGED BY THE BUYER ONLY AFTER FUNDS CLEAR...
