1957 Mercury Monterey Additional Info:

Here is a rare 1957 Mercury Monterey convertible project. This is a well optioned car which is very unusual in the Monterey series. It has a memory sear, radio with power antennae switch, power windows, seats, and brakes.Original color was all black with a white stripe, which would really make the stainless stand out. It may have originally had a 368 Turnpike Cruiser engine as it had Turnpike engine badges on the fenders at one time.Looks like a 312 yblock in it with automatic trans which is correct for this car as well. I have the air cleaner for it.
I have a front and rear bumper (currently off) to go with the car. I think all the stainless is there and in the trunk. This car has an excellent body - floors, rockers, quarters, doors and fenders seem to be very solid - it has had a repaint in the past so I can't tell what's under the white paint, but this car has been in dry storage for many many decades. It's the most solid one I've come across over the years. This is an excellent project that is pretty much all there - it will make a superb car when restored.
This car is sold on a bill of sale. I can arrange enclosed shipping to Vancouver BC for access to USA and overseas shipping. If you're bidding from outside North America, please contact me before bidding. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs.
