1963 Mercury Monterey Breezeway Additional Info:

1963 Mercury Monterey four door sedan. The car is in excellent condition with no significant rust. The black interior is in excellent condition, the seats are nice. The car has its original working AM radio with a 1970’s aftermarket FM receiver which also works well. It has factory air conditioning which is not currently working. All other electrical aspects of the car work as they should. All the glass is good but the windows do rattle, needing to have the channels and felts replaced. The car has the highly desired “Breezeway” power rear window which goes up and down as it should. The big 390 V-8 runs well with a newly remanufactured Autolite 4100 four barrel carburetor and the car has plenty of power. The 3 speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly. After warming up, the car does not overheat, and the heater works well without leaks. The car has power brakes (drums all around) and power steering. The car stops and steers very well. The front end is tight with no shimmies at 80 mph on the highway. All 4 shocks are new. The tires are good and have their original hubcaps. There are no coolant, engine oil, transmission, or power steering fluid leaks. The dual exhaust system has no leaks. The huge trunk has no rust, a new stock pad, the original jack, and a good spare tire. The trunk lock needs to be replaced (see pic). I believe the car may have its original coat of paint “Jamaica yellow”. The paint is showing its age, it doesn’t have the luster and shine that it once did. All of the chrome on the car is in good condition with a nice shine. Overall it is an unmolested classic in its original state. I have a clear Indiana title.
