1967 Mercury Cougar XR7, original A-code HP 289cid, auto trans. The car was originally purchased new in California and comes with documentation to support. The odometer mileage is verified as well, and the car is in immaculate condition. The paint is gorgeous, original Inverness green metallic and was repainted approx 6 years ago, with thousands in receipts. The car has no rust anywhere, and always stored indoors. The tires are new BFG's and the old school Cragers are new as well. Chrome is all in great shape, no pitting and no fading. The glass, trim and seals are all in very good condition. The original saddle interior was replaced, with receipts to back it all up, looks and smells new! All lights, gauges operate as they should, as well as the speakers and stereo with cd and MP3 capability. The original motor/trans, were completely rebuilt during the painting process, and some very tastefull Edelbrock performance upgrades sit under the original air cleaner. The original steering wheel was replaced with a Vanier billet and rosewood wheel, but the original wheel will be included in the sale. The original (working) clock and console will be included with the sale as well, as it was replaced by the current Hurst shifter. The car has been meticulously maintained, and has been my wife's pride and joy for many years. Most importantly, for a true classic car lover/driver, it starts and runs great. The nostalgic sound, feeling and experience is truly exhilarating. The car is for sale locally, so we retain the right to end the auction early. There is a $1000.00 Non-refundable, good faith and earnest money deposit required within 24hrs of the conclusion of the auction. The remaining balance needs to be payed within 36 hrs of the auctions completion by bank to bank wire transfer, or PayPal with a 4% addition of sales price for fees.As dictated, if you do not agree with any portion of our payment terms, please do not bid on the Cougar.
