The body on the car is in amazing condition and was extremely well maintained and is obvious the car was always garaged. The paint is original and is finished in the gorgeous Mercedes color of Brilliant Silver and is in very good condition. The car has been completely inspected underneath from front to back and is solid as a rock as any California-Arizona car should be. The car is riding on upgraded Mercedes 15" chrome wheels and has deep tread Michelin tires replaced only about 6,000 miles ago! All chrome trim, glass, and rubber seals are in great shape. The original windshield is like new with no chips. The soft top is brand new and in excellent condition, and has almost never been up. The hard top has good seals and the headliner is in awesome shape. Overall the exterior appearance of this car is a 9 out of 10. The interior is in great shape all around. The supple original gray leather seats are all in very good condition and look very nice with no rips or ware lines, which shows the quality of leather used in this car. The wood grain is in excellent condition with a minor crack in the center console. The carpets are all very nice are not worn or damaged. All dials and controls function as they should, power windows are fully functional, as is the power antenna. The sound system is also very nice with an Kenwood head unit, original head unit comes with the car. Music is crisp and clear and not overwhelming. The sound system definitely adds to the driving experience of this roadster. This interior is absolutely beautiful and shows the previous owner really took care of the car. The trunk compartment has been freshly cleaned and looks great. The spare tire compartment is clean as a whistle and the spare tire has never hit the pavement and is a matching Chromie! Tools and Spare are in trunk as well as full set of brakes pads for the future.
Mechanically, this SL runs GREAT! The car starts right up and shifts smooth as silk. It drives as good now as the day it rolled of the lot. The V8 engine is surprisingly quick and responsive. It is reliable, easy to fix, and parts are readily available. The car was always regularly serviced by Mercedes authorized dealers. The book shows regular oil changes, always receiving oil changes at Mercedes certified dealers (every receipt since new...over $20k in receipts!!!). This car just had the oil changed, tune up, and transmission case seals replaced and given a clean bill of health. Under the hood is clean as a whistle and looks like new.
The car will include 2 keys, original spare tire, top removal tool, and the maintenance books and owners manuals and includes every single service receipt done at a MB dealership since day 1...AMAZING!!!
All in all, this is one of the cleanest and nicest SL's that I have had the privilege of being associated with. It has been professionally maintained and truly loved by its previous owners. This Mercedes is a fantastic car for the price and is a blast to drive around with the top down.
