About this vehicleThis 1991 Mercedes-Benz 300TE is an original. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives.Seller's NotesEnjoy this classic Mercedes Benz as a daily driver or take it to the next level with total restoration.Too many car projects, so I'm selling my 300TE that I've revived with major repairs.- Replaced - 3.0L Inline 6 cylinder Engine- Replaced - Transmission- New... Water pump, valve cover gasket, crankshaft seal, oil pan gasket, oil filter housing gasket, crankshaft rear seal, intake manifold gasket, exhaust manifold gasket, thermostat, spark plugs, all fluids changed.
Power windows, large tilt/slide moonroof, cruise control, seating for seven with the optional rear-facing 3rd row, interior lights in every row, MBTex seating surfaces are great for kids, pets, and projects - durable and easy to clean. Factory rack with cross bars, too!
The EXTERIOR of this 300te is in decent shape overall, however previous owners replaced the front bumper and passenger-side front fender with units that are not a perfect color match. On the road it's easy to drive with a bit of play in the steering wheel as updates will be needed to make the steering tighter. I've driven it on multi-hour road trips and it's smooth ride and supportive seats worked great. The muffler has a slight buzz, however it's not loud, just in need of a fix eventually, but nothing urgent. Brakes work well and pedal feel is strong, the ABS light does come on sometimes. There's a crack in the windshield however it doesn't affect visibility. The right-rear wheel bearing will need to be repacked eventually, nothing urgent but good to know about according to my mechanic.
The INTERIOR is clean and easy to enjoy.
Just one tear on the driver's left bolster and very little wear on any other seats. A/C will need to be recharged hower heat and fans works correctly. You'll need to add your own stereo - this car is wired for a modern unit, or you can find an original Becker unit on Ebay if you're into the classic look.
All power switches work with these minor exceptions:
- The left rear window controls work to close the window from the drivers seat, but not lower it. The left rear seat passenger can open/close the window normally.
- The passenger seat headrest power adjustment is inactive.
- To lock/unlock all doors, the passenger side lock will lock/unlock all doors, driver door will do so sometimes.
