1970 Mercedes Benz 280SL Pagoda Coupe

$77,500 OBO

A stunning little 280SL. Automatic transmission with factory Air Conditioning. Removeable Hardtop and Retractable Soft Top. Classic Nardi wood and aluminum steering wheel. Very original, unrestored, super low 35,000 mileage car. I bought this car from the original owners daughter. She inherited the car from her parents. When I bought it, it had been in storage in her garage for at least 15-20 years. She never drove it. In fact it still has its original factory soft top fully intact. She didn’t even know it had a soft top! Its numbers matching and rust free. It includes original tool roll and jack in trunk. Original body colored hubcaps. All verified matching number $75 original sheet metal and what appears to be original paint. It was originally sold in Oklahoma City, delivered to her step father June 17, 1970. Based upon supporting service records it lived a while in Renton, Washington then onto Newport Beach, California. He was evidently a member of the very swanky and exclusive Balboa Bay Club as reflected by the old window decal. The car is highly documented including multiple service records dating to the 70’s and 80’s. Originally serviced at Heshion Motors Inc in Overland Park Kansas. In 72 the car was serviced at Friedel’s Mercedes Service in Renton Washington. The car had 22,000 miles on it when serviced in Newport Beach Ca. in November 88. It includes the original Mercedes Benz Owner’s Manual, Original Directory of Mercedes Benz Dealers in the United States and Mercedes Benz Dealer Service for Africa, America, Asian and Australian countries. After buying it, I had the car fully serviced in Napa, Ca. I’ve driven it roughly 1500 miles since purchasing it. The car runs like a top. I wouldn’t hesitate to drive it anywhere. It does have older Michelin XH Whitewall 195/75R14 tires Made in Italy. The paint and chrome are in nice condition. With normal patina of a 50 year old unrestored classic car. The car shows very well and almost always attracts a crowd. You can buy a cheaper 200,000 mile rust bucket and pour lots money into it.

Or you can buy a meticulously restored $200,000 version. Priced very fairly at $77,500 OBO and drive it away. The car is located in Fairfield, Canear the San Francisco Bay Area. I can arrange shipping.

I am happy to answer all serious inquires. Please no ebay dreamers, talkers or scammers. I will not respond to texts. 775*771*8889
