1992 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series Wagon Additional Info:

You are bidding on a very nice 1992 Mercedes Benz 300TE Wagon.
This car started as a father/son project and we did quite a lot to restore it - as we love these wagons. Their style is classic and they drive extremely well. The venerable six cylinder engine is silky smooth and the transmission shifts easily and nearly imperceptibly.
She is built with typical Mercedes (old school) quality. The door still shut with authority and interior is quiet while underway. She rides with typical Mercedes aplomb and you wouldn't realize that she is 20 years old. If you haven't driven a W124 Mercedes Benz you are in for a treat. These cars are refined and near silent in their operation.
Here is some of what we did to restore her. First of all, she was/is a rust free example. We didn't have to repair any rust. There was fading paint (clear coat) and we decided to sand her down to bare metal, we then etched the body with primer. We removed all of the trim and windows (in other words, we painted her correctly). We painted the plastic cladding a dark blue (the body being light blue, as you can see). The exterior is perfect - not a mar or ding/dent. Literally, the exterior is better than when she left the factory.
I've added a video showing the car immediately following the application of paint. In this video we have not yet sanded or buffed the car. I've also posted a video with the car finished and road tested. A complete walk around of the car and on the road video.
We added a new grill, new headlights, new side and taillights (why not change them once you change the headlights!). We tinted the windows, which helps the look, in my opinion. We added an aftermarket bluetooth radio and new speakers. She actually sounds very nice with sufficient bass.
Again, the interior (wood, carpet, seat, etc) are in excellent condition. Please see the pictures and video.
The sunroof works perfectly. The windows all work fine. Seats are power and there is a third, rewarded facing seat (which is in need of repair but I never use it of course.
BTW - I will entertain trades plus cash (your car plus cash) small SUVs, Hyundais and cars that require either body or mechanical work. It's our passion.
Brakes are in excellent shape. Rims look good in the pictures, but they aren't. They are chrome and peeling. I was planning on replacing them. Tires are in better than average condition and they are 16" in size (which is 1 inch larger than factory).
Due to her age, she is being sold as-is. No warranty is implied or expressed. The $500 deposit is non refundable. I do encourage inspections and email correspondence that puts your mind at ease that you are making a prudent purchase. What I state is "excellent" or "good" may not be your definition of the same. Best to get clarification rather than be unhappy with your purchase.
Cars usually look better in pictures, however our Mercedes has brand new paint - new rims and therefore is in beautiful, non damaged condition. She looks new.
The car drives well - as you can see in the second video. The third video is a comprehensive walk around.
Here is a video of work in progress - painting the car. And one walkaround. Take a look at that paint!
Good luck bidding.
