1968 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class Additional Info:

I loved driving this car in the past. And always thought I would restore it and enjoy it once more. Sad to see it go, but time for someone else to take on the labor of love.
Was a daily driver for a few years, but has been stored for many years (8+). Ran and drove perfect before storage. Complete original car. The car needs some tires and a correct battery to be installed. No visible signs of rust!
With all original sheetmetal and the correct engine/hard top/trans plate as per the factory data card, this SL is truly a "matching number" Pagoda. Interior is original and shows wear! Hard top with intact headliner, rear Jumper Seat, New soft-top in 1993, opened once, spare tire and cover in trunk. All Glass good. ALL Keys available. Original tire-Jack, spare, and cover in trunk. Tires are rollers only, poor condition.All Hubcaps intact. I used to have the Original Owners Manual and all receipts, but haven't been able to locate it now. (I'll keep looking for paperwork, but no guarantee on this). Restoration project sold "AS-IS".
I will consider ending the auction early if the right offer comes along. So don't be shy to ask. The worst I will say, is thank you, but no thanks.
