Here is a drop dead gorgeous 1978 Mercedes Benz 450SL with only 58k miles that has a black Exterior over a striking Red Leather interior with silver factory wheels. This car comes with a factory hardtop as well as a black soft top that is in very nice condition. This SL started life as silver and was professionally repainted to black with a nice high dollar paint job, the color has a great shine and it is nearly impossible to tell. We acquired this vehicle through our buying service from an elderly lady in Sun City, AZ that was moving out of state and needed to sell it, she had acquired the vehicle from Barrett Jackson in 2007. This car is up to date on service with only 58k original miles and ready to go to its new owner to enjoy.

Exterior:*Condition #4
The black exterior on this 450sl is absolutely gorgeous and totally rust free. As we describe all vehicles with full disclosure, this vehicle started life as silver and was professionally repainted to the black that it is now, there is no remnants anywhere on the vehicle of it being silver initially as it had a very nice high dollar paint job. All of the chrome and rubber on the exterior is absolutely beautiful with all the factory glass in great shape with no chips or cracks. The lenses all are very clear and all of the lights work, if you remove the hardtop the factory soft top comes out which as well is in great condition with the exception of very minor fading on the windows. This car is definitely above average condition compared to a lot of these SL’s and sure to please any future owner.

Interior:*Condition #4.5

The red leather interior on this looks absolutely striking and has been redone with all correct materials to give it a nice breaking factory look. The dash, seats, carpet, and door panels are all in great shape with no cracks, rips, or stains at all. The wood trim inside is very nice with just a few minor cracks as shown in the video which is extremely common on these vehicles. The radio, gauges, windows, power antenna, and a/c all work just as they should. The interior is definitely above average on this one with no abnormal odors and is sure to please its next owner.

Mechanically:*Condition #4.5
Mechanically, this Mercedes is up to date on service and runs very nicely. This car drives straight down the road, shifts smooth and stops on a dime. There is no evidence of leaks at all and the previous owner that we acquired it from stated that she took it to Mercedes Benz and they did not recommend a thing on it although we do not have paperwork for that. Mechanically, car is ready to go and we welcome all buyers to have a pre purchase inspected completed if they would like.
Under Carriage:*Condition #4
This Under Carriage on this SL is in excellent condition with no history at all of any rust. The underside is dry with no history of any recent of current leaks and everything appears to be in great shape. The suspension is nice and tight with like new tires. This underside is nearly as clean as it gets on one of these especially one that has been driven a little bit.
