Sept. 3 Update - Just put a brand new water pump in the car.....
I've owned a 500SL Euro and two 560SLs but nothing compares to driving a 4-speed SL!
The 4.5L engine has lots of power and putting it thru the gears is a blast!
Only 200 of these cars were made so this is one rare beast. It only has 84,000 miles on it and the interior is in fantastic shape.
The convertible top is new. Car drives great with no issues. Underbody is in very good shape with no rot.
Negative stuff? It has a small rust hole behind the drivers's side wheel-well. There are also numerous stone chips on the hood and front fenders. There is also a light wiper scratch on the windshield that can probably be buffed out.
