This vehicle is in very, very good condition. It has a newly replaced engine with 225,000 miles on it, installed at Circle Star Automotive Repair in Van Nuys, California. The odometer reads 375,000, because the law requires that odometers not be changed.
The car also has a completely new driver's seat with new upholstery and a new seat frame, which was custom-made at Burbank Auto Upholstery. In most 300TD and 300D, the springs in the driver's seat are collapsed and very uncomfortable. This vehicle has a firm, perfectly matched new driver's seat.
Circle StarAutomotive Repairand Burbank Auto Upholstery are both the best in the Los Angeles area, so the work done on the engine and driver's seat is impeccable.
The interior is in excellent condition, with no visible cracks on the dashboard. The air conditioning blows cold right away, and the thermostat works perfectly. This car includes the rare, rear-facing third seat. The original stereo was already gone when we bought the car in 2006, so we put in a new head unit (CD, USB, Satellite-ready.) Front and rear speakers were also upgraded, and a sub-woofer was added, which is disguised in the rear cargo area.The original antenna is missing, but the replacement antenna is low-profile and works well.
The vehicle has been well maintained for the past 13 years by Super Automotive in Los Angeles. It has also had all necessary hoses replaced in order to run B99 Biodiesel, if desired. It has never been operated on vegetable oil.
Based on the Autocheck report, this vehicle has only been in South Carolina and Southern California, so the body is in great condition. The paint is also in great condition overall. Minor problem areas are shown in the photos.
