1989 Mercedes-Benz S-Class 560 SEC Additional Info:

Relisting due to a non-paying bidder. First please ask your wife, then double-check your bank balance. Next, make an offer....you might just get it !
Car is absolutely immaculate, impeccably maintained, and in superb condition overall.
Needs a head gasket (leaks coolant externally, not internally) due to age. Head gasket replacement is bigger than my wallet and/or my DIY ability. I'm looking for an MB enthusiast interested in buying for a reasonable, negotiable price. It still starts, runs, drives, shifts as it should. Keep in mind that most W126 and C126 coupes, even the high priced ones, have engine issues that need to be addressed and all have problems lurking underneath the hood that require time and $$$. This is a known issue around this age/mileage.

Sold new in California via the Mercedes-Benz European Delivery Program (Reportedly this was George Lucas's car but have no hard evidence of that). Spent 15 years in California. Moved to Oregon with its third owner, and then to Colorado in 2015.

Colorado emissions check and inspection was passed in 2015 and again in 2017 with no problems.

Clean Colorado title in the seller’s name

A square set of 18 x 8.5″ genuine and rare Lorinser RS90 wheels from Germany in good shape but with some curb rash. A fifth Lorinser is in the trunk as a spare.

The eight-way powered dual-stage heated front seats are both working correctly, and the upholstery on the seats and door panels is in good condition with some wear visible on the driver’s seat bolster.

The sunroof is working as it should

Headliner is good but minor sagging slightly in places

The A/C was converted to an R134a, system blows cold after a charge

Dash is smooth with no cracks

Carpeting appears free of stains or wrinkles

Burled walnut trim shows no cracks in the lacquer, with the dash and center console wood replaced in the early 2000s

The stereo was professionally replaced by the prior owner in 2016 with an Alpine model, including Bluetooth connectivity, external amplifier and subwoofer in the trunk, and new rear and side speakers. The front speakers are disconnected. The original Becker Grand Prix head unit comes with the sale.

The frame and body panels are dry and solid with no rust.

Stack of service records from previous owners dates back to the 1990s.

Receipts for work done by the seller and prior owner are included, along with owner’s manual, original inserts, original first aid kit, and original Mercedes-Benz toolkit.

All lights, indicators, and headlight washers are fully functional.

Chrome brightwork is in good condition with no oxidation present

Glass is free of cracks

Exterior rubber well-preserved

Left headlamp plastic bezel cracked and missing top portion. Replacement bezel included.

OEM Mercedes Benz "Noah" Cover included - never used outdoors

Scratches and dings consistent with the age of the car.
