Selling my beautiful but not perfect 1988 RIGHT HAND DRIVE MANUAL G Wagon.
I personally found and shipped her to the states myself. I used to live in the UK for a few years.
She has a clean NY title(no liens and no taxes) and because the car is older than 25 years old, it passes inspection with ease and its very cheap to insure(I pay $600/yr in NY with full coverage)
She currently has about 140,000+ miles, as I drive her nearly every day. My original plan was to drive her once in a while but the amount of attention I am getting is somewhat addicting. When's the lastfirst time you've seen a right hand drive MANUAL G Wagon? I've done a bit of work to her, with receipts to prove, such as the belts, rear shocks, belts, chains, full tune-up, a bit of electrical work, corrected rust issue around gas tank, and much more. As you can see from the pics, shes had a major face lift(not done by me). Everyone thinks shes at least a 2015 G Wagon.
What you will get when you buy her:1. The black 22 inch ONYX rims2. Original 20 inch rims and tires with 90% thread from a 2015 G wagon.3. Brand new headlights, they are the bright white LEDs. Currently has bright blues.4. One jump seat5. I took out the old rear seats and have added the seats from a 2001 ML320, as that seat is wider and can hold 2 baby seats and person in the middle. I will give you both sets for rear seats6. And a box of miscellaneous brand new parts.
She does have some minor rust like on the back bumper and I would change the muffler as it doesn't sound as good as G Wagon should sound. She also needs a decent set of fog lights and a rear fog light.
She does require some work but nothing major as you can see from the pics.
I made the VIN all 1's because ebay doesn't recognize the European VIN.
I am selling as I am moving back to the UK.
