Selling my 1981 Mercedes 380SL. I am a collector of these cars and have a great passion for them, in particular I purchased this car because it’s Original orange color drew me in and fit perfectly into the disco music and the fun retro era of the 1980's in which this iconic car was made.
I have babied the car since I've owned it. It looks very straight with no evidence of heavy rust. The panels look original and line up perfectly. Doors open and close the way theyshouldthere's no evidence of repaints or any accidents that I can tell. The paint clear has patinaedbeautifullyon the top surfaces(without showing metal) reflecting her age and speaking to the paint job's originality. The engine is running strong with lots of power. Transmission shifts through all the gears although some shift smoother than others. The dash is in great shape outside of very minor cracks. I have recently changed the oil and plugs(from Mercedes) and have driven this car long distance with no problems.
I have enjoyed driving this car and the ton of compliments and thumbs up I get from everyone. I am getting married soon and have too many cars and motorcycles. Please feel free to email with any questions.
