1973 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series Additional Info:

5 DAY AUCTIONNo holes or rot! Amazingly rust free.
This is a daily driver quality car. Originally a California car, this was brought to New Mexico in the 1990s.White with brown MB Tex interior.AC BLOWS COLD!No tears or sun damage to the seats - very nice. Headliner perfect.Original carpet is very nice with one wear spot on passenger floor mat.Dash has split on top of binnicale and just to the right of binnacle. The wood is solid under the windsheild but the clercoat is pealing. The rest of the wood in the car is very nice with a few checks in the clear mostly on glovebox. The rest is very clean. Steering wheel has typical splits from heat. All electric windows work. The drivers side sticks a bit at the top and sometimes will require assistance last 2 inches of travel. All signals work. Lights work. Radio works but antenna is broken. Wipers work.Shifts nicely through all gears and runs well. Hesitates a bit when cold but once warm pulls like a freight train. handles tight - newer Bilstien shocks.Fresh oil, battery, plugs, distributor cap, oil pan seal, tranny fluid. All glass excellent.Trunk pan is perfect and has a coco mat trunk liner. No rust anywhere in any of the typical aras such as spare tire well, floor pans, fender corners, headlights......just an amazingly solid car.Rear floor pan has some careless dents from improper jacking sometime in it's history but it affects nothing. See pics. All chrome straight and shiney.Lots of tread left on Michelin tires.Comes with original owners manual packet with all other typical booklets and paperwork inside.Video of engine idling is available. Very quiet and smooth.
What it needs:Clearcoat is pealing in areas on passenger side which when parked all these years had a southern exposure. Could use a repaint or at least buffed out.Very shallow dent with no creases on front passender fender. This will pull out without much work and should not be a deal breaker.
This is the perfect candidate for a light cosmetic restoration. With very little effort this can be quite the looker. You will not be chasing the tinworm. Doors shut like new and the car is very solid. However, it is an older car and as such there is no telling what might fail next. I do believe this can be driven home but you do so at your own risk. Otherwise I am happy to meet with your trucker/shipper and get this loaded. I can work with your shipping broker to get this to a port in order to ship overseas.
I can hold the car for up to 3 weeks while shipping is arranged.
All sales are final. Please ask plenty of questions. I will not tolerate buyers remorse. Sold as-is where is.
