1991 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series 300TE 4MATIC Additional Info:

'BARN' FIND ORIGINAL OWNER. NO RUST. 125K MILES.

Up for sale is my 1991 Mercedes Benz 300TE 4matic Wagon. I bought this car a little less than a year ago from the original owners. They had it parked in their garage, not driven in over 5 years. I saw it as an opportunity as another project car since it was so clean and rust free. (As you can see from the photos, I have quite a few.)

I got it running again, but it was in need of a major tune up.

-Removed and cleaned OVP contacts, changed fuses.

-New plugs

-New distributor cap and rotor

-removed and cleaned fuel injectors and fuel distributor.

-adjusted lamda for correct mixture.

-Engine and transmission oil changes done less than 100 miles ago.

Car Now runs and drives great. Full disclosure: The engine does idle a bit low when in gear, around 550 RPM’s. It does not affect drivability, no hesitation on acceleration. I occasionally will get an abs light that comes and goes. Other than that the car is great. No check engine light.

Interior is in fantastic condition. Original Leather (NOT MB TEX) is looking flawless as usual, no cracks/rips/tears at all. There is a slight crease in the rear bench seat in a couple spots from something the original owner had sitting on the seat, it will work out over time and use.

As mentioned in the title the car is "cancer free." Its been garaged its entire life and is in incredible shape. being that it has been an Ohio/Michigan car its entire life, the underside of the car does have the normal rust on thin metal brackets, surface rust on suspension components and bolts, ETC. But there is no rust on the floor pans/Unibody. The original factory urethane undercoating is not even peeling off.

Clean green Michigan title.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me. I’m a Benz enthusiast and love working on these cars.

*EDIT: i originally stated the interior was MB TEX. I was wrong, it is actually leather according to the vin decoder!
