History: Two owner car purchased new in Portland Oregon by the first owner until sold to the current owner in 2011. This car is built like a tank and is in amazing condition. Anything it ever needed it got. Comes with all original books / owner’s manual / data card (see photo). This car is exceptional.

Engine & Transmission: The mechanics on this car are very well sorted. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly and the gas powered (not diesel) engine starts immediately and runs strong. Dealer maintenance booklet shows oil changes and routine service 1978-2000, a local independent Mercedes-Benz repair shop here in Portland has maintained the car from 2005-2018 with records that total over $16k to keep it in pristine condition. All gauges, turn signals, and lights work as they should (see video). This car has been meticulously cared for and is ready to drive and enjoy.

Body: The body is in a very good condition and all panels are straight with excellent gaps. All glass is in great shape no chips or cracks. The Colorado Beige (470H) Paint is nice and presents well to show the great lines of the car (I had an expert look over the paint and in his opinion it is original). The rubber is good and all plastic lenses are great. Chrome is shiny and bright. The trunk is very clean with spare tire and original tool kit. The underside is solid and untampered and the Toyo Eclipse Tires have great tread on them.

Interior: The beautiful interior is like a 1978 time capsule and is in very nice condition. No tears in the seats, the headliner is mint, carpets are preserved and clean. A/C blows cold, heater/defrost work great (see video). The cargo nets on the back of the seats are tight and don’t sag. Perion correct AM/FM cassette stereo works as it should. Summary: This is asolid Mercedes-Benz 280E that has been very well cared for and is in excellent condition. You don’t seen many survivors in this nice of condition. Ready for cruising, drive it during the week and take it too car shows on the weekend.
