1971 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class Convertible Additional Info:

White w/Red interior. 2.8-liter straight 6-cyl engine, 4-spd manual transmission.Absolutely beautiful and very original 280 with a very rare 4-spd manual transmission! The SL has always had a mystique to it. From the mighty SL race cars of the 30’s to the high-performance street cars of today, Mercedes has always reserved the SL moniker for their top of the line luxury/sports cars. The SL’s of the late ’60’s- early ’70’s have been particularly popular with collectors. The ...style of these “Pagoda” top convertibles are timeless and these cars still turn heads whenever they’re spotted cruising around Rodeo Drive or down PCH.One of only 850 SL’s produced in ’71, this striking example is very original other than one repaint. It’s been well maintained over the years and features a very rare 4-speed manual transmission. It’s basically untouched, with the exception of maintenance. Optioned with factory air conditioning, Becker radio and rare Burgundy interior. It even has the original soft top still under the rear deck! The car is beautiful throughout and is a pleasure to drive!
