1965 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series 111012-12-140569 Additional Info:

Purchased from used car dealer Mar 2016 knew engine was seized but didn't know the reason the dealer didn't have any info either sounded like they got the auto thru auction so I tried to find previous owner without any success. After working on the car found the trans B1 and B2 servo cover removed and found the cover and some of the parts in a coffee can in the trunk and after RR and DA eng/trans found the engine seized from rust and transmission outside case fairly clean and inside trans pan clean with no debris so I think trans was possibly rebuilt and someone tried to fix some problem afterward but couldn't so it just sat outdoors for a long time and the engine seized from rust.I found no engine damage except for two cyl wall scored from piston ring stuck to the wall from rust ( #4,5 sleeved and reuse all original pistons with new Hasting rings, couldn't find any oversize pistons to purchase). No work done on the cylinder head except renew valve seals, reuse crankshaft bearing with new crank seals has good oil pressure. This car is going to need a lot more work to be street ready but I have a another car (65 230SL) that I need to spend my time and resources on.All the major problem is listed above and as for the rust and the dents (driver's side roof) I think the photo will show, all the lights seems to be working OK and all the windows cranks up and down, both front door key locks, rear door locks, glove comp key lock works. Trunk lock does not turn. One of the bolt hole is worn out larger on the trans output shaft/driveshaft flanges, wiper linkage disconnected from wiper motor because of reason above.Any question or more photos please email me, selling this 220Sb as is and any serious offers will be welcomed I could use the space.Final note, I drove the car around the block and the way it shift as mentioned above anybody buying it should plan on a flatbed towing.
