1976 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series Additional Info:
This is basically a parts car. Was running but had a bad head gasket. Started to change it, and didn't finish. If it was completed the car would run and drive. Brakes work. Rusty floors, and sills. I have no time to fool with it anymore. Any questions, or more photos let me know. 985-788-5126On Sep-28-17 at 20:00:17 PDT, seller added the following information:I've had a bunch of questions about the car. as far as how far I've got with the head gasket...all that was taken off was some of the top end. valve cover, etc. the head has not been removed yet. the cylinders are not open to the atmosphere. the vehicle was recently a running and driving car. it was puffing a little bit of steam out the exhaust. It didn't seem to have any oil in the antifreeze, or vise-versa.
As far as the rust, its bad in the floors and sills, like mentioned in the first description. Parts of the floor needs total replacing on the drivers side. as I said earlier, it's really more of a parts car. But it definitely not beyond repair. It's a pretty rare, vintage Mercedes, and worth restoring. but, it will need total restoration.
