THE GOOD: It's time to sell my favorite car, a 1992 400e! v8 W124 She runs and will get up and go! Built like a tank and this engine is a beast!!! This is THE best driving car I've ever owned. I own two and have to let them both go because of financial reasons. I hope they both go to a Mercedes enthusiast who can appreciate this model.Built to last! One of the best to come from Mercedes-Benz. I bought her in 2012 and updated the wiring harness, painted her, and while she was being serviced bought a second 400e with the intentions of selling this one, but changed my mind and decided to hold on to it.THE BAD: Needs or will need: a new serpentinebelt, alignment, a new battery, spare tire, trunk latch, odometer broken by a mechanic trouble shooting a draw on the electrical system & has only had about 1,500 miles since. I didn't realizethe odometerbroke until after I picked it up from the mechanic and when I called he told me to hit the glass withthe back of a screwdriver. Needless to say I wasn't taking it back to him to fix it. Drivers seat has bad tear.
NO RESERVE!!! I bought this car when my daughter was born and it is very sentimentalto me. I loaned it to my brother who put the 1,500 miles on it after the odometerstuck, he had a flat which is why it needs a new spare, and also locked the keys in the trunk which caused the issues with the latch. Again, no reserve. Good luck!!!!!!!
