1983 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series 2 Door Coupe Additional Info:

This Vehicle was purchased by my father 10+ years ago as a Birthday present to himself. This vehicle was daily driven and he absolutely loved this car. As I recall the engine and everything ran strong. Unfortunately, my father has had some health related issues that has allowed this car to sit for the past 7 years. As much as I would like to restore this and have my father take another ride in it. I just do not have the time or commitment. It is now my responsibility to start selling some things off.
What I know about the car is it did experience a few electrical issues that are unknown to me. The vehicle does not start at the present time. I do recall the reason he stopped driving it was not engine/mechanical reasons, but some type of electrical short. As you can see from the pictures the neglect of the car has put wear on the paint, tires, rims, and interior. There are a few places on the body with minor rust, but nothing that is rusted completely through. The interior does have a mildew"ish" smell and the carpets in my opinion should be replaced. The wood laminate around the shift knob and knob itself do have some cracks. The headliner and leather seats have stayed in amazing shape for the amount of time this has been sitting. The car has not been sitting on grass, there is a crush stone pad and 3 layers of tarps under the car. At the present the car does not run. So you will have to provide means of towing/trailer. I do know that my father paid quite a bit for this vehicle and I have seen them going for $3,000+ in this type of condition. Hagerty Historic Values the car at $6,800 in Fair Condition. Mercedes made these legendary cars between 1978 and 198, but only for the last 4 years with the turbo version . They are known to be the most reliable and enduring cars Mercedes Benz ever produced . You often find them with over 500k miles and still running well . I WILL BE ACCEPTING BEST & REASONABLE OFFERS.
