Pennant Motors is pleased to present this truly INCREDIBLE 1989 Mercedes-Benz 190E2.6. This car is incredibly special. When was the last time you saw one of these in this condition? It has spent its entire life in California, and is in spectacular condition. It is important to note that this car is 100% original, and completely unmolested. It still rides at the stock suspension height, and is free of any modifications. The interior of this car is spectacular. The MB-Tex seats are in very good shape, as is the dash and the carpets. Even the driver's seat is really nice. The car has automatic climate control which works properly. The Air Conditioning functions and is very cold. The original radio is still in place, and works properly with no bown speakers. The power antenna extends and retracts fully. The heated seats work great. All of the power options work properly. Something else that's really cool about this car is that it was originally owned by LucasFilm. The little production company known for such modest productions such as the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises. The person whose name is on the paperwork was the VP of THX from 1988-1993. (We found this information with a Google search.)

The interior of the 190E is in incredible condition. It has tan MB-Tex seats with beautiful real wood accents on the dash and door panels. It also has a power moonroof. The previous owner of this car was definitely a non-smoker. The cigarette lighter hasn't even been used, and there is no odor at all. The front seats are both 10 way power adjustible with the controls on the doors. This Mercedes has a drivers airbag -- pretty incredible for 1989! The interiors in these cars wear like iron, and it really shows in the pictures. The materials hold up incredibly well, as do the carpets.

The exterior of this 190E 4Matic is in remarkably good condition and truly looks like it's new. It is Smoke Silver in color. This color was in use by Mercedes for several decades and has always been very popular. The exterior of the car is actually in very nice condition -- almost unbelievably so for the year. It's a testiment to how well these early 90s Mercs hold up. Regarding rust, there is NONE. It is completely rust free. The underside and chassis look great as well. The original alloy wheels are in good condition. As I noted above, this car spent its entire life in California, until the owner moved to our area in Erie, PA very recently. It was not driven in the winter by its owner, and was ultimately traded in to our local Mercedes dealership here in Erie. We purchased the car directly from them to offer on ebay.

The Michelin tires are in good shape with plenty of tread remaining. The brakes are in good shape and the car stops as it should. The car has recent PA inspection and emissions stickers. This 190E drives just like you'd expect a Mercedes to drive. It's very smooth, while still handling well. The engine and transmission operate properly. We believe the car has had two owners. The condition of the car is stunning, especially the interior which shows as nearly brand new.

Inexpensive used cars are not at all the same as a brand new car, or certified pre-owned vehicle. They are in no way flawless, or perfect. As noted above, we try our absolute best to disclose any issues which may be present on the car, however a car's condition is somewhat subjective and opinion based. Where door ding may be considered perfectly acceptable on a 10 year old car, it would never be acceptible on a car which is brand new. Also, on higher-mileage used cars, it is important to remember that virtually any mechanical or non-mechanical component can fail at any time. We cannot predict what components will fail in the future, or when they will fail. This is simply the nature of older higher mileage used vehicles. The best that we can do is assure that the car is operating properly at the time of purchase. This car is sold as-is, and we cannot be held responsible for any mechanical or non-mechanical failure. Additionally, because we do not know the inspection requirements of other states, we cannot guarantee that this vehicle will pass any out-of-state inspections.
