1982 Mercedes Benz 380SEL Sedan, NO RESERVE!!! Nice and Super Clean, Rust-Free

1982 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series 380SEL Additional Info:

Offered at NO RESERVE is this classic Type W126 Mercedes Benz 380SEL from 1982. She was sold new in El Cajon, CA on 1/20/1982. She moved to Prescott, AZ in 1996 and has lived here since. This Benz is from the era when Mercedes still hand built cars. We have more photos on our website which you can find through Google searching for "Auto Obsession AZ."

All original powertrain and rust-free body panels. Chrome and glass are good. 3.8 litre motor and 4 speed automatic. Transmission shifts smoothly. Zero leaks and absolutely no rust anywhere. Car drives very well. Recent tune-up including plugs, air filter and new catalytic converter. Just passed AZ emissions test 10/25/2016 (see photo).

4 matching Kumho Solus tires that have faint sidewall cracks. They hold air fine and do not present any driveability issues. They should be replaced soon for safety reasons. Dunlop spare appears to be original.

Leather seats and interior are in great condition. All leather seats are still soft without splits or cracking. The driver seat springs are a little weak, but it is still comfortable to drive as it is. The front center armrest is cracking on the top surface only. Front dash and rear parcel shelf are like new. Both have custom covers that appear to be original to the car. The interior wood trim is in good shape. Some of the interior window moulding has shrunk from the sun (see photos).

Beautiful Sunlite Bronze paint with 3 small areas where the clearcoat is faded (see photos). Overall, the paint finish is excellent, especially for a 38 year old car. We have not confirmed, but assume that some repaint has occurred due to its age.

A/C is cold and has been converted to R134. Radio was upgraded to Alpine CDA-9807 with XM-MP3-CD-AM-FM capability.
