1985 Mazda RX-7 Additional Info:

This listing is for my 1985 Mazda RX-7 GS. I have had the vehicle for several years and it has been garage kept. When I acquired it, most of the wiring had been stripped out or disconnected. I'm assuming the previous owner was going to make it a track car. It also had the Arkay Turbo Kit installed. I removed the turbo kit and installed a brand new Racing Beat Intake Manifold, Holley 4-Barrel Carb, Ignition Coils, Plugs, Wires, Racing Beat Headers, Racing Beat Presilencer, and mid-pipe. The car still needs to have the Racing Beat or similar muffler installed. I also installed a brand new battery, spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor this week.It starts right up and the engine runs good. As I have mentioned, the wiring appears to be disconnected so some of the gauges do not work and there appears to be no power to the radio. With the car, will come 2 radios. The one installed in the car is a Pioneer Double Din DVD Unit and I will also include the original Clarion Radio. The Arkay Turbo Kit, including Carb, will also be included and is boxed up already. The turbo is rough and would need to be rebuilt. Please look carefully at the pictures, as there a few work trim pieces that will probably need to be replaced. All gears engage smoothly.
Upgrades:
- Pioneer DVD Double Din Head Unit
- Racing Beat Headers
- Racing Beat Pre-Silencer
- Racing Beat Intake Manifold
- Holley 4-Barrell 465CFM Carb
- MSD High Performance Fuel Pump
- New MSD Coil Packs
- New MSD Spark Plug Wires
- New NGK Spark Plugs
- New Distributor Cap & Rotor
I also have a full turbo kit, original brochures, door locks, and filters that I will throw in for free.
Note: It needs a muffler.
I had this item listed on ebay and it sold, but the winning bidder never and I really need to get rid of it, so I am listing it at a reduced cost. I'm looking for local buyers only.
A walk-around video of the car, while it's running, is available for viewing here: Video
Note: It is my understanding that the cluster was replaced due to malfunctioning gauges. The current cluster shows 78k miles and it was replaced at just under 121k miles. After replacement there is less than 25 miles put on it. The car itself has just shy of 121k miles, but the cluster will reflect 78k.
