1969 LOTUS ELAN S4

Purchased 10/14 from New England Classic Car with Toyota 4-valve 1600cc (4AGe) engine installed, twin DCOE Webers mated to Lotus 4-speed: Includes original Lotus-Ford engine on pallet. When purchased the following renovations had been carried out:

fresh paint (still excellent)
spyder tubular frame
spyder control arms
twin thermostatic fans
new dash with all gauges working
excellent dash pad, seats and door panels.

Since purchase I have completed the renovation:

rebuilt steering rack and rear calipers by Dave Bean
new brake pads all around
rebuilt radiator
new seat belts
new OE mirror
new outside bullet mirror
new Robbins top (that has never seen rain)
new custom Tonneau
new electric fuel pump
new battery
new wiring properly fused

new timing belt

Headlights, taillights, turn signals and license tag lights all work as do both electric windows and Maserati air horns. Headlights are raised/lowered by small vacuum pump switched from dash. When purchased the car had 61240 miles to which I have added just under 100 miles. This Elan is very fast, the engine is very smooth, and should have Toyota reliability. The car does not drip oil or any other liquid.
