1970 Lotus Super Seven Super Sprint Additional Info:

A rare opportunity to own one of the most pure drivers cars ever made. It is a 1990 model not a 1970, Ebay doesn't recognize the VIN number and this is a true Caterham car, not a cheap replica. This is the Super Sprint model fitted with the 1700cc Ford cross flow engine and twin Weber carbs, it is rated at 135hp which doesn't sound much but in a car that weights about about half as much as your average Miata it gives a very healthy power to weight ratio, 0-60 takes about 5 seconds. The car spent most of its life driving around the British country side before I imported it, it does have a clear Ohio title now. The cars has only done 7500 miles from new and has always been used as a weekend fun car and looked after very well. The body work is in beautiful condition finished in the Prisoner Series colors, if you are unfamiliar with this just google KAR 120C. The interior has the comfortable adjustable leather seats and all the gauges and instruments work correctly. It does have the side screens and soft top although getting into the car with the top up requires some flexibility! The car is equipped with 4 wheel disc brakes, 5 speed gearbox, limited slip differential and the desirable DeDion rear suspension, all of this add up to a car with handling that is just amazing, it feels like a street legal race car. I have owned many sports cars but there is nothing that compares to sliding down into the seat only inches above the ground, looking over the long fenders and chrome headlights and listening to the carbs growl and the exhaust crackle and pop. The car needs nothing, it has just had a tune up and new tires within the past 500 miles. I have just purchased a new project so I am reluctantly offering it for sale. It is rare to find a Caterham up for sale and classic car values continue to rise. It is listed locally so the listing may end at end time. The link below is to a quick Youtube walk around video, it's not great but gives you a better idea of the quality of the car. Thanks for looking!
