1988 Lincoln Mark Series Continental Additional Info:

Up for auction at NO RESERVE is my 1988 LINCOLN MARK VII LSC GENUINE CONVERTIBLE built by COACH BUILDERS LIMITED. This very rare car is straight and has no rust on the body, floors or trunk. There are no dents, only a few minor door dings. The paint is shiny and smooth. There are a few nicks, the largest being a 2 inch scratch located below the gas filler door that was touched up with the wrong shade of white paint (please see the 3rd from the last picture in the photo gallery). Please see the 4th from the last picture to see where the paint is worn thin on the left edge of the trunk lid. The chrome mirrors, door handles, grille and bumpers are not perfect but they are nice. The chrome trim on the rear driver's side wheel opening has a small dent in it, but it does not extend on to the body or paint (please see the next to last photo).
The convertible top on this Mark VII LSC is black cloth. It is not new, but it still fits nice. The rear window is vinyl and it is NOT crystal clear. It is a little cloudy. The top is hydro-electric and it goes up and down at the touch of a button, but I recently discovered that the right hydraulic cylinder is leaking. This problem will need to be addressed by the new owner.
The seats on this very rare car are a combination of cloth and leather. THE LEATHER ON THE SEATS AND CENTER CONSOLE HAVE BEEN DYED AND THEY ARE PRESENTABLE. The cloth on the seats is very nice. The carpet and original floor mats are very good. The dash is very nice with NO CRACKS. The door panels look nice and are not cracked but somebody in the past has useda few screws to attach them to the doors. The boot that covers the convertible top when it is down is in very good condition and it fits nice and snug.
This custom-built convertible is loaded with options and most of them work like they are designed. The climate control works, the A/C is cold. The power seats work, all of the power windows operate, both power mirrors work. The aftermarket radio works and the power antenna automatically goes up when the radio is turned on and it automatically goes down when the radio is turned off. The trunk has the automatic pull-down feature that works properly. The driver's side power door lock works but the passenger one does not.
This Mark VII has the 5.0 liter high output motor and with 113,928 original miles, it RUNS GREAT! The engine is smooth and powerful with no funny noises. It does NOT smoke. The transmission shifts smooth and precise. It drives down the road smooth and straight.
I like this car because ofits rarity, performance, andthe trouble free driving it has provided but I must sell it tofree up some garage space forthe 1971 Lincoln Mark III that I recently purchased. Please don't bid unless you are serious and plan on purchasing. I'm sorry but if you have 0 feedback I will cancel your bid unless you contact me before bidding. Thank you for your understanding and thanks for looking at my auction. If you have any questions, please contact me.
