Introduced in 1969, the Mark III was the spiritual successor to the limited production, ultra-luxurious Continental Mark II produced in 1956 and 1957. The Mark III was an immediate success, outselling the Cadillac Eldorado during its first year. It helped turn Lincon-Mercury into a profitable company, and was the start a success story that continued through the Mark IV.
A smooth ride, a powerful V8 motor and a comfortable and luxurious interior all helped make the Mark a success, and this particular car has all of those traits.
This Low Mile Lincoln is a driver, and its a very nice one. Its has the original color Yellow paint, and it shines all around. The interior appears to be all original, and in excellent shape. Features include climate control A/C, leather seats, power seats, power windows, AM/FM radio and more.
The motor has been redone (and improved), and it RUNS GREAT. Just turn the key, and she fires right up. The big 460 V8 probably didn't run this good when it was new. (Some of the original parts are still with the car, stored in the trunk).
