OK the story goes.....
This car is from Dallas Texas. It was found 30 years ago by a big car collector in Dallas. It was serviceable up until about 10 years ago. My understanding is the owners health started to decline and his collection was not maintained as it once was. So the car has been parked mostly for the past 10 years. The brakes will now need serviced to work again. Thee car does run very well if you put gas in the carb. I'm not sure if there is any gas in the gas tank. It sounds pretty empty. The gas tank has been out at some point and cleaned is my guess as its obviously clean compared to the rest of the underside. See pics. The engine compartment shows the car has been well maintained in year past. Looks to be new hoses etc on AC system and the brake booster appears to have been restored at some point. As far as I can tell the car is all original. All original paint and vinyl top. Ive been told this is a rare roof line with only around 150 made. I'm sure there are some Lincoln experts out there that will know the rarity of the car. The interior is also all original. The front seat and door panels appear to have been covered since new. Warning the original seats are hard. Meaning the foam inside the seats is dry and crumbly. The material is nice but the foam is hard. The trunk lock appears to be missing. It may be in the trunk w the extra parts but I havent seen it yet.
The body is a NO RUST EVER body. Meaning I can find no sign of paint work or BONDO anywhere. Its not a rusty car thats been patched and painted to hide major rust. There is however rust under the original vinyl top as seen in the photos. Also be advised the original paint does have several chips and scratches for 30 years of storage..
The trim, bumper and pot metal are as you should expect from a southern car. Very nice and pit free. The passenger side headlight bezel is cracked however. There are extra parts in the trunk of the car but the headlight bezels are the wrong year... FYI there is also an extra engine and transmission too!
I have never driven this car and the title is still in the previous owners name.
