1967 Lincoln Continental V8 Convertible Classic Collector Additional Info:

Here is your chance to own a piece of history... The LINCOLN CONTINENTAL CONVERTIBLE 4 door with suicide doors has to be one of the most iconic American cars of the sixties. Only 2,276 convertibles were made in 1967 making it the lowest prodution year of any Lincoln from that style/era. This car is in excellent running and driving condition with the 462ci V8, automatic transmission with 121,178 miles true and correct!!! So many cars listed with 60k or 80k who really knows mileage with the old speedometers? --- it is a real pleasure to drive this beauty. It starts right up and runs smooth. It recently has had a new Edelbrock carburetor, coil, spark plugs, cap, rotor. the A/C was recharged with both new service valves replaced. Reciepts for recent work totals over $2500. The convertible white top is in great working condition, which is a huge plus with these cars. The overall exterior original Lincoln candy apple red paint is in very nice condition. The interior features two of the rarest features offered --- A power headrest on the passenger seat and a remote mirror passenger side. It has the original Town and Country AM/FM radio with power antenna and the radio scan channel button on the floor near the dimmer switch. The car is equipped with the cruise control option but is not connected to the new carburetor. It has a separate Stereo-Sonic transmission tunnel mount to allow for an AM or AM/FM radio in the instrument panel to have a stereo tape player. but is missing the original 8 track player but has a really nice JVC cd player in its place perfectly installed. It has the automatic temperature control system (climate control). Complete power windows with power vent windows. this car was loaded with so many options! The six way power black leather seats with passenger recliner and power headrest are in good shape but the drivers side seat needs some leather sections to be replaced due to tears. All stainless trim is in super nice condition. It has aftermarket American Racing chrome spoked wheels one is missing the spoked section which can be found, The original hubcaps are in perfect condition included with car and a box of spare parts and paperwork. This original Denver car is very dry and clean on the underside with no rust and displays no evidence of any accidents ever!

For 1967, few changes were made to the Continental, except for minor trim updates. The Lincoln emblem on the front fender was deleted on 1967 models. The dashboard gained several indicator lights, cruise control on, trunk open, and an oil pressure light. In the interest of safety, lap safety belts became standard alongside an energy-absorbing steering column.
After only 2,276 were sold, 1967 was the final year for the convertible. The only factory four-door convertible produced after World War II, the 1967 Lincoln Continental Convertible is one of the heaviest automobiles ever produced by Ford Motor Company. At a curb weight of 5,712 (before options), it is the heaviest Lincoln since the Model K, and is 55 pounds heavier than the corresponding Cadillac Fleetwood Series 75 Limousine and 300 pounds heavier than the Imperial LeBaron of that year. The 5,712 lbs curb weight is specified in the Lincoln catalog.
