1947 Lincoln Continental Cabriolet

Listed on behalf of the owner.

Serial number H168753. Body number 570. Assembled September 3, 1947 and shipped September 9, 1947 to the Boyle Motor Co. in Jacksonville, Florida. This rust-free Continental made its way to the state of Washington in the 1990's where it underwent a down-to-the-frame restoration in 1996-2001. Repainted in base/clear finish in 1947 Lincoln "Grotto Blue." Red leather interior. Tan Haartz cloth top. A beautiful combination. All chrome re-plated. All receipts and photos included.

After approximately 1,500 miles of use, this car passed to the current owner in Oregon in 2011. Recently the V-12 engine was rebuilt to factory specifications. Rebuilt transmission and overdrive. Odometer now shows 6,100 miles (approximately 4,000 miles since rebuild.) This car has been featured as the lead car in the annual Portland, Oregon Rose Festival Parade over the past several years, carrying the Grand Marshall and other dignitaries in elegant style. (See last photo.) A removable parade seat was added for use atop the rear seat as well as a foot pad to protect the rear seat cushion. 6 volt auxiliary electric fan added for low-speed stop-and-go driving. An ideal parade car.

This car is completely dialed-in and operates without fault. All gauges work. Radio and clock rebuilt. Power windows and top systems rebuilt and work smooth and fast. Brakes rebuilt and stop the car smooth and straight. The Borg Warner overdrive operates correctly and makes this car a pleasure to drive on the freeway, easily keeping up with modern traffic. Truly the best of both worlds: show or go.

If you are looking for a beautiful Classic Continental that is eligible for particpation in all Classic Car Club of America and Continental Owners Club shows or tours, this is the one.

A realistic reserve has been placed on this car in keeping with its rarity and quality, but WELL BELOW current price guide value. Someone is going to get a bargain.

WE WILL HAPPILY SELL TO BIDDERS WORLDWIDE.

Thanks fr looking and GOOD LUCK!
