1989 Land Rover Defender Additional Info:

THIS IS A USED 27 YEAR OLD UNRESTORED DEFENDER
Chassis Number:SALLDVAB8FA367932Engine Number Code: 19J
This Defender was stored and not driven for the past 5 years
Last month a full mechanical service was performed so that it could be driven
All newdiff and gearbox fluids and new filters and engine oil.
New clutch was fitted and some other small parts where addressed (like a newbattery).Head gasket is also new.
It now drives OK and has passed yearly inspection
Engine pulls OK but with 155.000Miles/251.000km it burns alittle oil
Gearbox was rebuilt at some point and it works perfect
Transmission and low gears look to be in good condition
It takes some time to start when cold. Once hot it always starts good
Steering box isleaking but power steering is working
There is some rust underneath on the chassis here and there but it is not rotten. It is a dry weather car, not from UK
You can find some rust on thebulkhead and doors
Interiors look old, dashboard is cracked and there are there are holes in many places on the dash
Damage on basically all exterior panels (missing paint, scratch, too much paint, rusty hinges, etc)
This as a running and driving restoration project. You can drive it but it needs work.
